Delete your account and data

Operator: DALiApps, LLC (Arkansas). It is run by one person, so “I” below means that person.
There are two ways to do this, and both delete the same thing: your BleacherBrag account and everything in it, including every photo you uploaded and every graphic made from one.
1. In the app (immediate)
Open Account → Delete Account and confirm. It happens straight away — there is no request queue, no waiting period, and no “deactivated” state to come back from.
If you only want to remove some of it, you do not need to delete the account: a saved graphic can be deleted from your Album, and a team or player profile from its own screen. Want a copy first? Account → Export my data hands you everything before you delete it — afterwards I have no way to give it back.
2. Without the app installed
You do not have to reinstall anything. Email support@bleacherbrag.com from the email address the account was created with and ask me to delete it.
Sending from that address is how I confirm the request is yours. I will not act on a deletion request for an address I cannot verify — doing so would let a stranger destroy someone else’s family photos. I will action it within 30 days, and in practice much sooner; this is a one-person operation, so you will hear back from a person.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, with no recovery:
- your account record and display name, and your sign-in identity itself (email/password, Apple, or Google — the app deletes it from the identity provider as part of the same action);
- every photo you uploaded and every rendered graphic made from it, including the ones you saved to your Album and the full-quality copies of any graphic you paid to unlock;
- every team and player profile, including their logos and photos;
- your push-notification registrations, so a deleted account stops receiving notifications;
- your purchase records — the store receipts I hold to grant an entitlement. (Apple and Google keep their own billing records; that is their side of the transaction, not mine, and refunds are handled by them.)
4. What is not deleted, and for how long
Three things outlive the delete. All three are time-boxed, none of them is used for anything other than running or restoring the service, and none of them is sold, shared for advertising, or read to profile anyone.
- Up to 30 days — the background-removal cache. If a graphic used background removal, the cut-out subject is cached so the same photo is never sent to Photoroom twice. That cache is keyed by a fingerprint of the image itself and is not linked to your account, so deleting the account does not clear it. Every entry expires on its own within 30 days.
- Up to 90 days — deleted image versions, on production only. The bucket holding saved and purchased images keeps previous versions, so that a bug or a bad deploy cannot irreversibly destroy content someone paid for. A deleted image becomes a non-current version and is erased automatically after 90 days.
- Up to 35 days — database backups. The record side (accounts, profiles, album entries, purchases) runs continuous point-in-time backup for disaster recovery, which by its nature holds a rolling window that still contains rows deleted since. Those age out on their own. I use backups only to recover from a failure or my own mistake — they are never read to reconstruct an individual account.
Two shorter windows apply even if you never delete anything, and they are the reason most of what BleacherBrag holds is already gone: an uploaded source photo expires within 8 days, and a rendered graphic expires after 7 days unless you save it to your Album or buy it.
If you need the backup window itself waived for a legal right-to-erasure request, write to me and I will handle it by hand.
5. Photos of children
BleacherBrag accounts are for adults, and the photos are usually of their kids. The adult who uploaded a photo controls it: delete the graphic, delete the profile, or delete the account, and the images go with it under the windows above. If you are not that adult and a photo of your child is in someone’s BleacherBrag account, write to support@bleacherbrag.com and I will deal with it directly.
